Family Album // Week 2
So. Much. Color. And I love it! Would you believe that I wear 99.9% neutral colors and live in a very beige/navy/white house? It's true. Now, Ava and Ben's rooms are a veritable riot of color. But that's another story. Week two was pretty routine for us. Mike was hyped about Steelers football. It was the first time Ben put on his little jersey, which was actually Ava's. And I had to include a screen shot of two alerts that happened to pop up on my phone at the same time: congrats from FitBit that I had achieved my 65-pound weightloss goal....and the amex alert that I had just paid for breakfast at McDonalds. What can you do? Life's all about balance, right?
This whole spread started with the Feed Your Craft Next Chapter kit. These are designed by super-talented illustrator Brandi Kincaid and she pretty much works magic with color. I added in a few cards from Kelly Purkey. The dates are stamped with the mega date stamp from Studio Calico, which I believe is sold out right now. The emoji stamps are from A Beautiful Mess and the iPhone stamp is from Studio Calico. The right side of the spread is a Becky Higgins page protector (I liked the 4x4 option). It bothered me that the holes would look different, so I covered the edge with washi tape and punch through. I've seen this trick done before and I like the color it brings to the page.
I love how cheerful the final product is! It makes me smile.
