Family Album // Six Months of Ben
And just like that, he's six months old. In this season of my life, my absolute favorite quote is, "The days are long, but the years are short."
I didn't take "formal" monthly pictures for Ava and I regret it. Five years ago, this wasn't quite as common and the idea never occurred to me. But I'm so glad I have these for Ben. I obviously shoot them in color, and he wears the same little babyGap onesie on the same fluffy white blanket each month. The monthly stickers are from Lucy Darling. She has quite a few designs, for girls, boys, gender neutral and holidays. I used a black and white filter for these because despite shooting in the same room, same clothes, same background....the lighting makes each look slightly different. Even in black and white (same filter from A Color Story), they don't look as uniform as I'd like.
I loved the high impact look of the black and white shots and decided to stick with it for the rest of the layout. The timing was great for hearts! He turned six months on February 10th. The inserts are patterned papers cut to 3x3 squares. I used the Crate Paper Heart Day 6x6 pad and the adorable heart stickers. The larger hand drawn heart pattern is from Studio Calico. The favorites card is white cardstock stamped with "favorites" in red ink (stamp from Kelly Purkey), and then vellum layered on top with a running list of Ben's current favorites. The large six is a vinyl (I think) number from Ali Edwards' numbers story kit.
Not too much to this one. His cute little chubby face is the star of the show!
